To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment. Emergency cases shall always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each patient on time.

 


















For the safety of all animals in our care, we require that all vaccinations be up to date. Even though we make every effort to make our patients feel comfortable during visits, they may be a little uneasy about new people, new surroundings and other pets. This is one of the reasons we ask you to restrain your pet. We recommend that animals be placed on a leash or in pet carriers before entering the waiting room.


Emergencies

We don't like to think of it, but your pet is as susceptible to accident or sudden illness,  as you are.  For after hours emergencies, please call Jefferson Animal Hospital at 969-9900 or  Metropolitan Veterinary Specialists and Emergency Services  at 266-7007.

Payment Policies

All payment is due in full at the time of service.  For your convenience, we accept American Express, Cash, Checks, Discover, Mastercard and Visa.

For your convenience, 'drop-off' appointments are available. A 'drop off' means you could bring your pet at the time that works best for you and leave him/her with us for a couple of hours. Usually we will ask you to 'drop off' sometime in the morning so our doctors can examine the patient in between appointments or at the time purposely reserved for admitted patients. Please print out the drop-off form and bring it with you. Once the doctor is done, one of our staff  will give you a call to set up a pick up time to go over diagnosis and give discharge instructions. 

We do accept walk-in appointments, however  they will be seen after our scheduled appointments. All of our patients are important to us.

We are accepting new patients and feel honored that you have chosen us to care for your four legged family member.  Please be aware that each appointment takes approximately 30 minutes.  Plan to arrive a few minutes early so you can fill out your 
new client form
