Noah
Our Beautiful Boy

We loved you so
We lost our precious boy last night, (Sept.16th, 2010). He stopped eating and was laboring to breathe. We knew that he was sick when he wouldn't eat because he lived for food. Blood tests showed major problems which led to x-rays that showed his lungs full of cancer. After hours with his Doctor trying to get his breathing relaxed and enough strength for him to get up, we couldn't. We would have done anything to have brought him home and had one more night with him, but we loved him too much to put him through that. We held him tightly as we had thousands of times before, but this time he went to sleep. It is the hardest thing that we have ever had to do.

Noah was a part of our family and brought great joy to our lives. We lived, laughed, loved and now cry because of him. We thank God for lending us Noah for 12 years. We cared for him to the best of our ability, sacrificing financially so that Lisa could stay home with him. His unconditional love came back a thousandfold.

Noah lived a healthy, strong, loved life for over 12 years with us, so that prayer was answered. We are now the ones suffering over the void in our lives, our souls ache. This, only 5 months after Lisa's Mom passed away. Last night we missed his warm fur beside us while we slept, the sound of his breath, the jingling of his collar, his beautiful face and his unconditional love. He spent every day with us and went everywhere we went. He has ridden with me on each of our police boats and loved to ride in my police car. We have driven thousands of miles together, to Chicago over 20 times and walked Michigan Ave countless miles, from Florida to Michigan, from Louisville to Phoenix twice, to California and everywhere in between.
Animals are special. When Adam was created, God surrounded him with animals. When Noah was delivered from the flood, God surrounded him with animals. When Jesus was born, God surrounded Him with animals. We must now depend on God's peace and grace to let us smile each time we think of him instead of cry.

In Christ Love
Brian and Lisa
