Vaccines and Exams

Our veterinarians and staff  strongly believe in the concept of preventive medicine. Regular "wellness" examinations and immunizations are extremely important for maintaining the health of your pet. What is a Wellness Exam?

In-House Laboratory Facilities

Our extensive in-house laboratory provides information that is critical to your sick or injured pet. With the help of our modern in-house diagnostic equipment, animals can receive appropriate treatment immediately after arriving at the hospital. Our laboratory is equipped to perform preanesthetic blood testing. This procedure greatly reduces the risks that can be associated with surgery at a very reasonable cost.  Some of these services are:

Heartworm test i ncludes testing for Lyme disease and Ehrlichia. Read more about Heartworms.

Testing for Feline Leukemia and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus is done in house in minutes.
In-house blood work to monitor your pet's health.

Diagnostics

We have a complete radiographic facility for taking and developing x-ray films.  We also have the capabilities of performing diagnostics using ultrasound and endoscopy.

Surgery

Many pet parents don't understand that there are differences in the quality of care in surgery. Those differences are often reflected in prices. Some animal hospitals will take shortcuts that reduce price but also reduce the level of care and comfort for their patients. (After all, veterinary patients aren't really able to complain!)

That means that even routine spay and neuter surgeries -and their prices- can vary wildly from hospital to hospital.  There are many substantive reasons to choose to have surgery at our hospital over a less expensive place. Dentistry and Preventive Teeth Cleaning

It has probably happened to you or someone you know.  You take your pet to the veterinarian; they look at your pet's teeth and tell you your pet needs a dental.  A price is often quoted, and either you make an appointment, or because you are confused and worried about the risks, you don't make the appointment and go on your way.  This guide will help you understand what is being recommended and why.  What is a dental?
